With support from a Colorado Division of Wildlife grant, St. Vrain Valley Education Foundation Mini-Grant, the Eagle Crest PTO, and the GLOBE Program, Eagle Crest MESA students celebrated “Leave No Child Inside Day” with a garden groundbreaking ceremony. The Eagle Crest student garden leadership team has organized committees and has been planning our MESA Garden. The team’s activities include:
Additionally, a group of lead teachers has been trained in the GLOBE Program to follow GLOBE’s phenology protocols (the scientific study of seasonal biological phenomena, such as flowering, breeding, and migration, in relation to climate conditions). As part of this program, our students will collect data to share with scientists and other students from around the world.
Thank you to MESA for all of your support!Stephanie Potter and Mick Huiet, MESA Advisors
