Space Grant Inspires MESA Students at Loma Linda Elementary

For five weeks, students from NASA's Colorado Space Grant Consortium at the University of Colorado at Boulder met with fifth grade students at Loma Linda elementary. As Loma Linda MESA students engaged in hands-on experiences, they learned about satellites, rocketry, spectroscopy, and living in space. Both the college students and the MESA students literally had a blast learning about space and launching rockets. At the end of the five week period, MESA students took a field trip to the CU-Boulder campus. They took an interactive tour of Space Grant's facilities, built geodesic domes, and saw a show at the planetarium.
